Large Signed Hand-Painted Egyptian Papyrus Artwork – Royal Hunting Scene
A large, vividly hand-painted Egyptian papyrus artwork depicting a continuous narrative scene based on New Kingdom royal iconography. The panel shows a Pharaoh in a hunting tableau with bow and lion-hunt imagery, alongside finely rendered courtly figures, lotus marsh scenes, birds in flight, and hieroglyphic cartouches. Executed with metallic gold highlights and rich pigments throughout.
The piece is artist-signed in Arabic in the lower corner and painted on traditional hand-pressed papyrus with natural irregular edges, typical of late-20th-century Egyptian workshop production for collectors and tourists of higher-end papyrus galleries.
Good decorative impact with strong colours; some fraying and creasing to the edges as shown.
