A mid-20th-century oil on canvas, depicting fishing boats moored in a tranquil harbour before whitewashed waterfront buildings, strongly suggestive of a Portuguese coastal town. Painted in a confident, expressive style with bold colour, visible brushwork and areas of palette-knife work. Signed “MP” lower right.
Canvas stretched on a wooden frame.
Condition: A visible split to the canvas along a stretcher line, with surface wear, edge rubbing and minor marks consistent with age and use.
