Great Britain – Bank of England Five One Pound Notes, “Sir Isaac Newton” Reverse, Somerset Issue
A group of five Bank of England One Pound notes, all from the Sir Isaac Newton reverse series, signed D. H. F. Somerset (Chief Cashier). Various serial numbers, as illustrated. Obverses feature Queen Elizabeth II; reverses depict Sir Isaac Newton with scientific instruments and orbital diagram.
Condition: Mixed circulated condition. Notes show folds, creasing, edge wear and surface handling; one example with heavier wear and corner loss, others clearer but used. All notes remain identifiable and complete unless noted.
A representative mixed lot from the final paper £1 series before withdrawal, suitable for entry-level collectors or study.
