A Rhodesian Copper Mug and Tray
A mid-20th-century Rhodesian copper mug and tray, both produced from pure copper and originating from Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).
The mug is of tapered cylindrical form with a simple loop handle and plain polished exterior, showing natural wear and patination from use. An original label remains to the base reading “Made in Rhodesia”, confirming its origin.
The accompanying circular copper tray has a shallow raised rim and is decorated to the centre with a black silhouetted antelope within a stylised landscape, a motif commonly associated with Rhodesian copperware of the period.
