A Mixed Lot of Hong Kong Miniature Oil Lamps and a Brass Balance Scale
A small group comprising three Hong Kong miniature glass oil lamps, each fitted with brass burner assemblies, in red, cobalt blue and green pressed glass, the bases with pontil marks and one example bearing a moulded registration mark to the underside; together with a small brass balance scale with twin circular pans suspended by chains, the finial cast as a stylised sailing vessel. The lamps are typical Hong Kong export pieces of the mid-20th century, produced as decorative novelties in the style of earlier oil lamps. Overall condition is consistent with age and use, with surface wear and minor imperfections; sold as a mixed lot.
