A 2011 Niue one dollar Star Wars R2-D2 colorised gilt coin. The obverse features a central colourised photographic image of the droid R2-D2, framed by a gold-toned border containing the Star Wars logo, Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire emblems, and Aurebesh script. The reverse displays a raised gold-toned silhouette of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader engaged in a lightsaber duel, set against a textured background with the Star Wars logo at the top. The coin is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule.
Condition report:
The coin appears to be in good condition within its protective housing, with no visible signs of tarnishing or surface marks. The plastic capsule shows minor surface wear consistent with handling.
