Miquel Requena Spanish Porcelain Sad Sax Clown Table Lamp
A Spanish glazed porcelain table lamp manufactured by Porcelanas Miquel Requena S.A., featuring a base modeled as a clown or hobo figure in the Sad Sax pattern. The figure is depicted leaning against a white lamppost while playing a saxophone, wearing a tan coat, blue bow tie, and a gray top hat. The porcelain is finished in a soft-toned palette characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century Spanish production. The underside of the circular base is marked with a black manufacturer stamp for Porcelanas Miquel Requena S.A., Cuart de Poblet, Valencia, Made in Spain, alongside an incised A mark. The lamp is topped with a tapered tan fabric lampshade and includes a white power cord fitted with a UK three-pin plug.
