Description
Republic of China, Porcelain, Seven-Piece Bowl Set
A mid to late 20th-century Taiwanese porcelain set comprising one large serving bowl and six smaller bowls. The pieces are decorated with transfer-printed motifs of traditional Chinese lanterns, including a spherical lantern featuring the Double Happiness (囍) symbol and an ornate rectangular palace lantern. The rims of all bowls are finished with a thin gilt band. The large bowl features a red stamped mark to the base with the characters He Yi Jin (合義金) arranged horizontally above a square seal containing the characters Lieh Gee Jian Zhi (烈記監製). Below the seal is the text Lieh Gee Co. Made in Taiwan Republic of China. The smaller bowls are marked Mong Lee Shang Made in Taiwan. Dimensions: Not provided.
