Description
A Pair of Delfts Blue Hand-Painted Miniature Ceramic Clogs
A pair of vintage Dutch miniature ceramic clogs, likely intended for use as trinket dishes or small ashtrays. The pieces are crafted from glazed white ceramic and decorated in a traditional blue and white palette. Each shoe features a hand-painted pastoral scene of a windmill to the toe, flanked by stylised foliate and floral motifs. The rims are finished with a decorative dashed blue border. The underside of each item is marked in blue with the number 01, a small three-pointed crown or trident symbol, and the words HAND PAINTED, DELFTS BLUE, and HOLLAND. A crossed hash symbol is also present at the heel of each base. Dimensions: approx. 5 cm x 2.5 cm.
