A Contemporary Glazed Ceramic Elephant Oil Burner
A contemporary ceramic oil burner modelled in the form of a standing elephant with its trunk raised. The figure features a shallow integral bowl on its back for essential oils and water. The body is pierced with six small circular ventilation holes and the underside is hollow to accommodate a tea light candle. The item is finished in a mottled reactive glaze of deep blue and black. No maker’s marks or model numbers are present. Height: Not recorded.
