A Collection of Decorative Ceramics Glassware and Carved Wooden Figures
A mixed collection of decorative items and tableware. The lot includes a porcelain lidded jar by Samurai China featuring a globular body and wicker handle, decorated with deep blue panels, gilt highlights, and hand-painted floral cartouches, marked Genuine Samurai China, Japan, Handpainted, Reg No 539405 with incised Japanese characters to the base. Also included is a St Michael fine bone china teapot decorated with a transfer-printed meadow scene of cats and spring flowers, marked Made in the U.K. An Enoch Wood (Tunstall) Ltd earthenware jug in the Florabunda pattern features transfer-printed and hand-coloured floral and fruit motifs on a cream ground. A Border Fine Arts relief-moulded ceramic storage jar from the James Herriot Country Kitchen series depicts a goose in long grass and includes a lid with a butterfly-shaped finial, marked 1998 EEGG Ltd. The collection further comprises a cylindrical ceramic jug with a green and yellow plaid transfer-printed pattern, a dark-glazed ceramic owl figure with stylised eyes, a turquoise-glazed ceramic dish in the form of a conch shell, and a small pale green glass bud vase with a flared, wavy rim. Sculptural items include a large hand-painted wooden rooster with green and blue tail feathers, a rustic carved wooden horse with a straw mane and cord bridle, two polished stone cat figurines, and a small gold-toned dragon figurine.
