Sterling Silver Sifter Lid, Edwardian Style
A sterling silver sifter or shaker lid, likely originally from a sugar caster, muffineer, or pounce pot. The piece is of spun form with hand-pierced ventilation holes to the upper section. It features British hallmarks to the side, including a lion passant for sterling silver and a maker’s mark, possibly for L.D. The style is characteristic of the late Victorian or Edwardian period. Dimensions: 3.5cm diameter, 3cm height. Weight: 12g.
