A modern stylised group sculpture, ‘Family Life’, composite resin, circa 2003
A modern stylised group sculpture titled ‘Family Life’, cast in a dark, textured composite resin with a matte black finish. The piece depicts a family unit of four, comprising two taller figures and two smaller figures, rendered in a cubist-influenced style with distinctive blocky heads and simplified, elongated forms arranged in a communal embrace. The sculpture is self-supporting on an integral base. The felt-covered underside bears a circular paper label identifying the work as ‘Friends… FAMILY LIFE Handmade Sculptures © 2003 OWSI’.
