Description
A Pair of Neoclassical Style Patinated Metal Table Lamps
A pair of electric table lamps in the neoclassical style. Each lamp features a cast metal body with a distressed, patinated bronze-effect finish. The design comprises an ornate, circular base decorated with foliate scrolls and acanthus leaves, leading to a fluted central column. The column is punctuated by decorative knops, including one with a leaf-moulded collar. Each lamp is topped with a removable, flame-shaped metal finial. The lamps are fitted with cream-coloured, bell-shaped fabric shades, each accented by two faceted clear glass teardrop pendants suspended from the lower rim. The items have been rewired with modern black plastic-coated flexible cord, each featuring an integrated in-line on/off rocker switch and a standard UK three-pin plug. The undersides of the bases are covered in black felt and no maker’s marks are visible.
