After Henri Fantin-Latour and H. Eastwood A Pair of Artworks ‘Pivoines’ and ‘Robin on a Branch’ (Signed)
A pair of framed artworks comprising a reproduction print and an original drawing. The first work is a blue-toned reproduction print after Henri Fantin-Latour (French, 1836-1904) titled ‘Pivoines’, depicting white peonies in a glass vase. The work bears the printed mark ‘Fantin .74’ in the upper left corner. The verso of the frame features a large biographical label for Henri Fantin-Latour, providing details of the artist’s life and the original work’s provenance. The second work is a pencil and watercolour drawing on paper by H. Eastwood, depicting a robin perched on a branch. This work is signed ‘H EASTWOOD’ in the lower right. Both items are housed in matching decorative gilt frames with beaded inner borders. The floral print is presented with a light-coloured mount, while the bird study is set within a wide olive-green mount. The bird study has a plain backing with a hanging cord.
