A Collection of Telephones Including GPO 746 Style and Whitehall 1212
A collection of telephones comprising rotary dial models in the GPO 746 style, a reproduction pyramid style rotary telephone, and a modern push button telephone. The GPO style units feature two-tone beige and stone coloured bodies with chocolate brown handsets and coiled cords. One unit bears a paper label for City Electrical Factors, Cross Lane, Bodmin, with the telephone number 5211. The dial centres of these units contain various markings including the numbers 06 and 05. The reproduction pyramid telephone is finished in black with gold tone accents to the handset and dial; the dial face includes the text Whitehall 1212 and modern characters and functions such as redial, pause, and recall. The collection also includes a red corded telephone with a rectangular numeric keypad and additional function buttons for mute and redial. All units are equipped with various telephone line cords and plugs, including standard British types.
