An Assortment of Porcelain and Fine Bone China Tea and Coffee Wares
A collection of porcelain and fine bone china tea and coffee wares from various European and Asian manufacturers. The lot includes pieces by Paragon China (England), Melba China (England), Kahla (Germany), Yamashima China (Japan), and Jingdezhen (China). The assortment features several cups and saucers in an Imari-style palette of iron red, cobalt blue, and gold with floral transfer designs and hand-finished details. Also included is a set of cups and saucers decorated with monochrome green transfer-printed floral and foliate patterns. Two cups feature heavy gilding to the handles and interiors, including one by Kahla with a transfer-printed romantic figural scene on the exterior. A stack of four miniature coffee cups by Yamashima is decorated with peacock and peony motifs. The collection further contains a cream jug and matching saucers with a pale green ground, gold scrollwork, and inset floral medallions. A small footed bowl from Jingdezhen is decorated with dragons and floral sprays in a Famille Rose style palette. Marks include a red printed Jingdezhen mark with Made in China, a black printed Paragon China star mark with hand-painted pattern number 5969, a green printed Yamashima China wreath mark, a gold printed Melba China crown and banner mark, and a green printed Kahla crown mark. One white cup features an unidentified blue printed circular mark with scrolling characters.
