A Collection of European Porcelain and Fine Bone China Tablewares including Paragon Fiona and Zsolnay Pompadour II Patterns
An assortment of mid-20th-century European ceramic tablewares comprising pieces from various manufacturers. The collection includes a Paragon fine bone china service in the Fiona pattern, featuring a tall coffee pot with lid, an open bowl, and multiple saucers. These pieces are decorated with transfer-printed borders of stylized yellow flowers and grey-green scrolling foliage with gilt rims. The bases bear the green printed Royal Warrant mark reading By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen China Potters, Paragon, Fine Bone China England Regd, Fiona. Also included is a set of Zsolnay porcelain saucers in the Pompadour II pattern, characterized by scalloped edges, rich cobalt blue borders with white scrolling floral motifs, and gilt rims. These bear the purple Zsolnay Hungary Pécs mark with the five-towered castle symbol. The lot further contains Eschenbach Bavarian porcelain cups and saucers with a molded diamond latticework texture and gilt rims, marked with the green Eschenbach Bavaria-Germany crown symbol. A Hollóháza porcelain canteen flask is present, featuring integral handles, four stub feet, and red and black folk-art floral and geometric motifs, marked with the green Hollóháza Hungary 1831 pine tree symbol. Completing the collection is a set of Wawel Polish porcelain saucers decorated with floral sprigs and gilt rims, bearing the green Wawel Made in Poland mark.
