A well-proportioned hardwood rocking chair of classic country house design, featuring a tall slatted back, shaped scroll arms, solid plank seat, and elegantly curved runners providing a smooth rocking motion. Crafted with attractive natural grain and warm patina, the chair displays pleasing traditional joinery and balanced lines. The crest rail retains a decorative painted cartouche with gilt lettering reading “Gill”. A charming and characterful example of traditional rocking chair design, well suited to both period and contemporary interiors. Wear consistent with age and use.
