Description
A mid-20th-century pressed glass footed comport or tazza, attributed to Soga, Japan. The shallow, circular bowl features a scalloped rim and is decorated in relief with a fruit and foliate motif, including bunches of grapes, vine leaves, and flowers. The piece is finished with polychrome cold-painted or enamelled highlights in purple, pink, and green, with a satin frosted texture to specific areas. The large leaves and the fluted pedestal base are finished with an amber-toned iridescent lustre.
