Description
This lot consists of three ceramic ashtrays, featuring one branded advertising piece and two figural designs. The first is a circular porcelain advertising ashtray manufactured by Rastal for the German brewery Warsteiner. The exterior is decorated with transfer-printed branding including the Warsteiner name, the slogan Das Einzig Wahre, and the company logo featuring a crown with the text Eine Königin unter den Bieren. The piece features three cigarette rests and a gilded rim. The base bears the transfer-printed maker mark for Rastal, Höhr-Grenzhausen.
The second item is a figural ashtray or small dish in the form of a duck, constructed from speckled stoneware or earthenware. It features a matte glaze with hand-painted details defining the eyes, beak, and wing feathers. The base is covered with a black felt pad.
The third item is a stylized figural ashtray in the shape of a cat, crafted from speckled stoneware or earthenware with a buff-coloured matte glaze. The design incorporates two cigarette rests into the front paws. Facial features are rendered with painted or stenciled details. The base is unglazed and carries no visible maker marks.
