Description
A glazed porcelain bust of a pensive clown, designed by Jose Puche for Lladro. The figure is depicted with a melancholy expression, resting his chin on both hands. The clown features light blue hair, a white face with a single painted black eyebrow, and a red mouth. He wears a cream-coloured cone-shaped party hat with a brown textured pom-pom and a wide, pleated ruff collar in a muted greyish-lavender tone. The base bears a blue printed factory mark featuring a stylised bellflower above the text LLADRO, HAND MADE IN SPAIN, and copyright DAISA 1981. Incised marks include a flower-like symbol within a rounded square and the alphanumeric code G-20 MY. A piece of tape on the base is inscribed with the model number 5139.
