Description
A Concorde Signature Edition commemorative philatelic display produced by The Westminster Collection. The piece features a central graphic of the aircraft under the title CONCORDE, flanked by the dates of its first flight (2nd March 1969) and final flight (26th November 2003). The display incorporates multiple commemorative postage stamps, including a Palau issue and a British stamp cancelled with a special 35th Anniversary First Flight of Concorde pictorial postmark from Filton, Bristol, dated 09 APR ’04. The display is hand-signed in black ink by Captain Jock Lowe, former Chief Pilot for the British Airways Concorde fleet. The arrangement is set within a deep blue mount and housed in a gilt-edged wood-effect frame.
