Description

A pair of framed genealogical maps on paper, titled Middlesex and The City and County of the City of London, published in 1983. The maps are printed in colour and serve as genealogical aids, detailing parish boundaries and dates for the commencement of registers for parishes formed before 1832. The Middlesex map, noted as number 22 in a series, includes an inset of London and a key for ecclesiastical jurisdictions. The second map, noted as number 45, provides a detailed layout of the parishes within the City of London. Both prints bear the publication imprint at the lower edge: PUBLISHED BY THE INSTITUTE OF HERALDIC AND GENEALOGICAL STUDIES NORTHGATE, CANTERBURY, KENT ENGLAND and are dated (c) 1983. The works are housed in matching simple black wooden or composite frames under glass.
