Description
A collection of coins and medallions featuring a Britain’s First Decimal Coins set as issued by the Royal Mint. The set is presented in the original blue vinyl folder and comprises five denominations: bronze 1/2p, 1p, and 2p, alongside cupro-nickel 5p and 10p. These coins feature the Arnold Machin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse with various heraldic reverses. The lot also contains a loose cupro-nickel commemorative crown-sized coin, depicting a central bird motif within a floral wreath of roses and thistles surmounted by a crown. Furthermore, there are two gold-coloured commemorative medallions honouring Princess Diana, featuring colourised portraits and inset with small clear faceted stones. One medallion is inscribed 1961-1997 Diana with an associated card 195.088.2 INT, and the second includes a German language technical card.
