The gemstone is held in a multi-claw silver coronet setting, mounted to a 9-carat yellow gold shank with tapering shoulders. The interior of the band is stamped with the marks 9CT & SIL, indicating the shank is 9-carat gold and the setting is silver. The ring is housed in a modern purple-coloured ring box with a white padded interior.
