Description
A collection of nine 1:43 scale model racing cars by Corgi and Onyx, constructed from die-cast metal with plastic components. The lot includes three models from the Corgi Classics The Donington Collection series, each presented in original window boxes with themed slipcovers. These comprise a 97375 Shadow DN1 Ford Cosworth V8 driven by Jackie Oliver in black UOP livery, a 97373 Hesketh 308 Ford Cosworth V8 in white livery with red and blue stripes bearing number 24, and a 97378 Surtees TS9B Ford Cosworth V8 in black livery bearing number 60. The Onyx models consist of six examples, including five from the Heritage Formula 1 series and one larger cased model. These include a 5019A Benetton Ford B194 driven by J.J. Lehto in green and blue livery, a 207 Tyrrell Yamaha 022 driven by Mark Blundell in white and blue livery, a 210 Williams Renault FW16 Australian GP driven by Damon Hill in blue and white Rothschild livery, a 204 Benetton Ford B194 driven by Michael Schumacher in green and blue livery, a 201 Ligier Renault JS39 driven by Olivier Panis in blue and white livery, and a 190 Ferrari 412 T1 driven by Gerhard Berger in red livery. The collection is accompanied by a rectangular wooden display plinth featuring a central silver-tone plaque inscribed Formula 1 Legends of the 70’s.
