A Collection of Novelty and Adult-Themed Ceramic Egg Cups
A collection of various novelty ceramic egg cups of mid-to-late 20th-century design. The group features a variety of humorous and adult-themed motifs, including anatomical male and female torsos in both plain white and tinted glazes. Included are figures reading the Financial Times newspaper and Woman magazine, a bearded character bust, and a female bust inscribed THE BIGGEST AND BEST around the base. One item is presented in its original retail box labelled THE EXECUTIVE SOAP & EGG-CUP. Additional designs include a figure supporting a bowl over its head, a top hat form, and a plain white cup transfer-printed with the word BOIL.
