A First World War Silver War Badge 8.74g and an Army Service Corps Cap Badge
A group of two British military badges comprising a First World War Silver War Badge and an Army Service Corps cap badge. The Silver War Badge is of circular, openwork form in silver-toned metal, featuring a central GRI cypher surmounted by a Tudor crown. The surrounding border is inscribed with the text FOR KING AND EMPIRE + SERVICES RENDERED +. The reverse is fitted with a vertical pin and catch. The Army Service Corps cap badge is of brass construction, designed as an eight-pointed star with a laurel wreath. The central garter is inscribed with the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE surrounding a central ASC monogram, topped with a Tudor crown. The reverse features a vertical slider attachment.
