A Collection of Carlton Ware Walking Ware Egg Cups and a Lidded Egg Jar
A collection of Carlton Ware Walking Ware glazed pottery items, comprising multiple egg cups and a lidded jar. These novelty ceramics feature anthropomorphic designs where the white egg basins and jar body are supported by pairs of legs. The footwear is finished in various colours including yellow, green, blue, and purple, and styled as boots, Mary Jane shoes, or lace-up shoes, some featuring striped or polka-dot sock detailing. The lidded jar is egg-shaped with horizontal green banding and is topped by a yellow bird finial.
