Two Japanese Gold-Toned Quartz Mantel Clocks by Citizen and Seiko
Two Japanese quartz mantel clocks of differing form. The first clock, manufactured by Citizen, features a square gold-toned frame and a black dial. The dial is set with gold-toned Eastern Arabic numerals and central hands. It is marked with the name CITIZEN below the twelve o’clock position, QUARTZ above the six o’clock position, and JAPAN at the lower right. The second clock, by Seiko, features an arched gold-toned case and a white dial with black Roman numerals. This clock includes multiple complications, including a moon phase indicator positioned below the twelve o’clock mark and three subsidiary dials for the day, date, and month. It is inscribed SEIKO below the moon phase and QUARTZ JAPAN with a stylized S symbol at the base of the dial.
