An Assortment of Wedgwood Jasperware and Glazed Ceramic Egg Cups
A collection of ceramic egg cups, primarily featuring Wedgwood jasperware in various colourways including sage green, pale blue, royal blue, and black. Several sage green examples are decorated with white bas-relief leaping rabbits, while the blue and black jasperware pieces feature classical figures, floral motifs, and commemorative profile portraits of Queen Elizabeth II within laurel wreaths. The group also includes glazed ceramic examples, notably one featuring a blue willow pattern transferware design, another with black monochrome botanical and architectural scenes, and a child’s egg cup depicting a steam locomotive. The bases of several pieces bear impressed or printed marks; one white glazed piece is marked with of ETRURIA WEDGWOOD & BARLASTON and MADE IN ENGLAND, while the unglazed jasperware bases feature impressed marks including WEDGWOOD and MADE IN ENGLAND. One example retains a paper lot label to the interior.
