A Trio of Framed Artworks Comprising Two Egyptian Papyrus Paintings and an Indian Miniature Style Painting
A collection of three framed decorative artworks. Two pieces consist of hand-painted Egyptian papyrus. One depicts a Tree of Life scene with colourful birds perched on branches, while the other shows a funerary stela-style composition featuring multiple registers of figures and a central panel of hieroglyphic text. Both papyrus works are signed in Arabic script فاروق جلال (Farouq Jalal) at the lower-left corner. These two items are presented in matching dark wood frames with gilt-tone inner fillets. The third item is a landscape-oriented painting on a dark ground, depicting a royal or celebratory procession with numerous figures and caparisoned elephants in the style of an Indian miniature, set within a dark wood frame. All pieces are mounted behind glass.
