A collection of ceramic egg cups featuring various characters from classic children’s literature and television. The assembly includes large figural pieces representing the heads of Noddy, Big Ears, Mr. Plod, and Bob the Builder. Also included are several pedestal and straight-sided cups with transfer-printed illustrations of Andy Pandy, Rupert Bear, Thomas the Tank Engine, and various teddy bear motifs. A number of items are presented in their original retail packaging, including a Rupert Bear cup in a red box marked for Wedgwood, a Paddington Bear cup within a boxed chocolate egg set, and a Thomas the Tank Engine cup in a plastic blister pack. Some cups are decorated with text including morning and Teddie Bear Does The Shopping. The collection demonstrates a variety of moulded forms and polychrome glazed finishes.
