An abstract composition featuring bold passages of orange and blue, applied with energetic brushwork and incised linear detail created through sgraffito into wet paint. The layered surface and gestural marks create a strong sense of movement and spatial depth.
Linda King is a self-taught British artist born in Bristol. She worked as a portrait artist from 1985 to 1991 and has exhibited in Bristol, Amesbury, St Ives and Hayle. After moving to Cornwall in 1992, she lived in St Ives before settling in Hayle in 1997. Her practice spans abstraction, sculpture and illustration, informed by both figurative and expressive traditions.
