Two Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Commemorative Items Including a Silver-Framed Coaster
A duo of commemorative items produced to mark the 2002 Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The lot comprises a circular silver-framed display coaster and a boxed presentation weight. The coaster features a central white lace representation of a crown, possibly Honiton lace, mounted on a dark fabric ground behind glass. The sterling silver rim is struck with English hallmarks to the side, including the lion passant and the leopard’s head for the London Assay Office. The second item is a hexagonal presentation weight finished in a brass tone, featuring a central silvered medallion embossed with the inscription THE QUEEN’S GOLDEN JUBILEE 2002 around a crown motif. This item is housed in its original blue and purple presentation box.
