A Mid-20th Century Smiths Gold-Toned Open-Face Pocket Watch and Original Box
A mid-20th century Smiths open-face pocket watch, presented with its original two-part red box. The timepiece features a gold-toned case, likely brass or gold-plated, with an engine-turned back and a vacant central circular cartouche. The white dial is printed with the manufacturer name SMITHS and includes the inscription MADE IN GT BRITAIN along the bottom edge. The dial features black Roman numeral hour markers and a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position. The watch is housed in its original red presentation box with a matching outer sleeve, both of which are marked with SMITHS in gold-toned lettering.
