A Collection of Metal Egg Cups and a Lidded Vessel including Royal Selangor Pewter
An assortment of metal egg cups and a lidded vessel of varying designs and materials. The group includes several pewter pieces by Royal Selangor, such as a cup featuring a figural sad clown face with a bow tie and another featuring an embossed foliate band. A further pewter item is an egg-shaped lidded vessel with an all-over embossed paisley design, resting on three short feet. The collection also features a brass cup with a heraldic crest for Arras, copper cups with applied enamel shields, and silver-toned examples including one with a pierced rim and another featuring a figural climbing teddy bear. One chalice-style cup displays embossed woodland motifs. Markings observed on the bases include Royal Selangor Pewter and Selangor Pewter 973. One copper cup has a diamond-shaped mark to the underside. The collection is accompanied by a blue Royal Selangor presentation box.
